Every day we get inundated with e-mails from people asking for information before they arrive. We answer every single e-mail we receive but have listed those most frequently asked questions below, which will (a) hopefully answer your queries and (b) reduce our workload!

What is the weather like?
Between May and October it is virtually sunshine all the way with very little rain. In July and August its very hot and often very humid and at night it is "sticky". If you come to Santa Ponsa over the Winter months you will need to bring jumpers and/or coat for the evenings because it does get colder, especially at night, but there will almost certainly be some stage each day when you can still enjoy the sun.

What are the dates of the King Jaime Fiesta in September?
The September Fiesta, which marks the landing of King James I and his subsequent conquering of the island from the Moors in September (10th) 1229, is the biggest Fiesta of the year in Santa Ponsa. It is a 10 day long celebration - which entails a lot of eating and drinking. As soon as we have this year's schedule of events we will post it on the site.

Do you have any information about my hotel, pictures etc?

We've heard that the laws have changed regarding smoking in public places - Will we be able to find bars and restaurants where we can still smoke?
Yes, the laws do now mean that some premises will be non-smoking but many are able to provide areas for both smoking and non-smoking customers.

Can you buy baby foods, nappies and milk in Santa Ponsa?
Yes. Heinz baby foods and other brands are available in Supermarkets and Chemists, as are most brands of nappies. You can only buy baby milk in Chemists. SMA baby milk is known as Nutraben in Spain.

Can we hire buggies, cots, high chairs and wheelchairs

You can usually hire out children's car seats from your Car Hire company.

How much does a taxi cost from the airport and how long does it take?
It only takes about 20 minutes and costs approximately 35 euros. They can take up to 4 people.

Can I get to Santa Ponsa by bus from the airport?
Yes, but it will take a couple of hours!! However, it will cost only around 4,50 euros per person. There is a special bus from the airport into the centre of Palma and then you need the Number 10 connecting bus from Palma to Paguera (which stops at Santa Ponsa).

Is there anywhere for me to access my e-mails while I'm on holiday?
Yes, at Marsur Holiday Services on Calle Ramon de Moncada or Serendipity Gift Shop on Avenida Rey Jaime I.

I'm thinking of coming to Santa Ponsa to work in the Summer months, what do you recommend?
The main Summer jobs available are usually in bars and restaurants. If you can get any experience in this sort of work before you arrive it will help your prospects. We recommend that you come out on a cheap package holiday towards the end of April and use the time to look for both work and accommodation. You'll have to visit the bars and restaurants to ask if they have work available. It's a good idea to have some money saved to support yourself for a while and you might have to pay a deposit to secure your accommodation before you've started working. If you get it all sorted out then stay. If not, just enjoy the rest of the holiday and use the return flight home.

Can I go Scuba diving in Santa Ponsa?
